RECIPE: Seasoned Black Eyed Pea Fritters
Perfectly seasoned with the signature flavor of Lawry’s® Seasoned Salt, these homemade fritters come together in just 30 minutes for a quick weeknight meal or party-ready appetizer.

Mix 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 tsp of seasoned salt and ¼ tsp seasoned pepper in small bowl until well blended. Cover. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Mash 2 cans (15 ½ oz each) black-eyed peas in large bowl. Stir in 2 eggs, 1 cup finely chopped onion, ½ cup finely chopped red bell pepper, ½ cup flour, ¼ tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp baking soda, until well blended.
Heat ½ cup vegetable oil in large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Drop bean mixture into oil by 1/4-cupfuls, flattening slightly. Cook fritters, turning once, 7 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Keep warm while cooking remaining fritters. Serve warm fritters with sour cream mixture.
